Kathy Cochet and Anne Flynn are friends, business partners, and founders of NINE, a unique retail business best described by their motto, "catch it while you can". Several times a year, customers are treated to a carefully chosen selection of personal accessories, jewelry, clothing, and stylish items for the home, some of which they designed. Each sale promises a fresh collection of "new favorite things for you and your home". Prior to raising their children, they spent their early careers in Finance and retail Management. The name NINE speaks to their long friendship: There are 9 people between the two families and they met and have spent their summers on the 9th Street beach in Avalon, NJ. There they often imagined what they would do once their children were grown. 20 years of discussion, countless magazines, and myriad purchases led them to the realization that what they were doing is what they should do for others… |
